Michi has chosen his childhood sweetheart Döme and a life on the Neumatt. But the other farmers in the village don't accept him as one of them. He promises them a direct deal with a major distributor, which he must land as a business consultant. Michi's sister Sarah takes over the management of the farm and comes into conflict with her brother Lorenz and his partner Jessie , who have their own plans for the farm. Meanwhile, the siblings' mother Katharina is trying to build a new life in Zurich.
